Campfire
One of my favorite summer activities is camping. The days of tent camping are over for me, but I do enjoy a nice cabin, preferably beside of a river. We found such a place a few years ago, and look forward to visiting every year, just after Independence Day. What are you looking forward to this summer?
I plan on going to a family get together on the 4th in the mountains. Don't camp anymore but it was fun when we did. So good to catch up with you again. Diane
We celebrate the summer solstice on the Latvian holiday of Jāņi, when one must stay awake on the shortest night of the year, bringing light to the darkness (big bonfire) until the sun rises again. Lots of symbolism in a campfire!
