“As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy and to make plans.”
With this passage, Hemingway makes me want to eat oysters. And I don't even like oysters.

As many of you know, summers in the Southeastern U.S.A. can become sticky and unbearable. The mountains, however, almost always offer cool weather, at least at varying times during the long days and nights. The Blue Ridge Mountains are one of my favorite day-escapes from The City.
